At Springbank Primary a pupil's attendance is of vital importance in helping them to secure a good education, and to access the learning opportunities being made available to them throughout the school.
By law, parents are responsibe for ensuring that their children attend school regularly. If they fail to do this they are guilty of an offence and parents of children over 5 may be given a penalty notice or prosecuted under section 444 of the Education Act 1996.
The current law no longer permits any entitlement for parents to take their child on holiday during term time. At times there may be exceptional circumstances in this instance an application for leave must be submitted which may be authorised by the Headteacher.
If you require any additional help, please contact school as a variety of support is available including 'care collections.'
Congratulations to all our 100% attendance award winners, a HUGE well done.
