Springbank Conversion Consultation

In the July newsletter, we informed everyone that the Governing Body of Springbank Primary School was looking to work with other schools. We have now found the perfect opportunity to become an academy under the Academies Act 2010 and we are so excited that we have now been issued with academy orders by the Secretary of State (agreeing to it becoming part of an academy) and we are proposing to join The White Hills Park Trust. Further information about what becoming an academy means, and how to comment on the proposals, is in the letter you have received via email and also in the important information section of the website.

How can I find out more?

Virtual group meetings will be held at Springbank Primary School as indicated above on Tuesday November 10th 2020.

We would encourage you to attend virtually if you have any questions, or simply want to learn more. Please email Miss Potter at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you would like to be sent a virtual invite on Microsoft teams. She will also support anyone who needs help with downloading Microsoft Teams on their phone or tablet. Easy to do and a great tool for communicating with others.

There is also more information about academies on the DfE website: http://www.education.gov.uk/academies

If you can’t find the answer to your question here, or on the DfE website, and cannot attend the virtual meeting, please email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Letters can also be left with Heather or Dawn at the top gate addressed to ‘Academy Consultation’. A full reply document to all queries, whether at meetings, from emails or letters, will be available once the consultation period has completed.

To respond to this consultation on whether the school’s academy conversion should take place, please follow the link below which will take you to the consultation response page.
